Validation of Mayo Clinic MCI risk score Lead Investigator: Michelle Mielke Institution : Mayo Clinic E-Mail : smmielke.michelle@mayo.edu Proposal ID : 561 Proposal Description: In the 2015 Neurology paper entitled Predicting the risk of mild cognitive impairment in the Mayo Clinic Study of Aging, Pankratz et al. present a series of three risk scores developed to predict MCI using clinically available data. As a next step we aim to validate the risk scores in an external population. Primary Aim: Evaluate the performance of the risk scores in a more racially, geographically, and educationally diverse set of patients. Hypothesis: We predict the risk scores will perform similar in this external population as it did in our population based sample. Performance will be compared by the risk score models overall ability to predict MCI free survival.
